PROGRESSIVE SELF DEFENSE

Just starting with KPC? You’ll want to start with our Self Defense 101 program.

Progressive Self Defense  Tues/Thurs 8pm

This program is the continuation of Self Defense 101, incorporating more types of attacks, and including psychological aspects of self defense.

Requirements: Self Defense 101 (or Counter Ambush I)

Length: Ongoing, students progress through multiple levels

Subjects covered: Weapons defense, Psychology, Pre-Attack Indicators, Boundary Setting

Spots Left: 30

Potential Triggers: Working with Strangers, Medium Contact, Yelling/Offensive Language, and Exhaustion.

Gear Required: None

Filipino Weapons Systems Mon/Wed 6pm

In this program we will be covering Filipino Weapons Systems including Modern Arnis.

Requirements: None

Length: 16 weeks per cycle (payment may be made in two 8-week blocks)

Subjects covered: Single-stick, double-stick, knife

Spots Left: 30

Evaluation: None unless Instructor or Advanced path.

Potential Triggers: Working with Strangers, Some Offensive Language and Medium Contact

Gear Required: None

Dirty Boxing  Mon/Wed 7pm

In this program we will be covering: how to strike, glove-based striking vs naked hand striking, dirty tactics and standing grappling as well as defensive stances and movement.

Requirements: None

Length: 16 weeks per cycle (payment may be made in two 8-week blocks)

Subjects covered: Target-focused striking,  power generation, blocking, targeting, rule breaking and weight shifting

Spots Left: 30

Evaluation: None unless Instructor or Advanced path.

Potential Triggers: Working with Strangers, Some Offensive Language and Medium Contact

Gear Required: Mouth Guard and Boxing Gloves 14-16oz.
